Principal / Practice Leader
As a Practice Leader at LEGACY CONSULTING GROUP, Mr. Britain draws on nearly two decades of experience as a senior healthcare executive with extensive experience in healthcare strategy, business development and financial planning. His clients include multi-hospital health systems, academic medical centers, public “safety-net” hospitals, community hospitals, rural critical access hospitals, large physician groups and non-acute healthcare organizations.
Mr. Britain has led multiple engagements involving every facet of healthcare business development and planning. He has facilitated numerous long-range financial planning engagements involving feasibility analysis of major facility expansions, hospital replacements and joint venture arrangements. As a Practice Leader, he has management responsibility for the firm’s healthcare planning and regulatory practice engagements.
Prior to joining LEGACY, Mr. Britain served as an executive for a large regional integrated healthcare system with its own health plan responsible for system-wide planning. He has directed corporate planning for a five-hospital suburban healthcare system and served as Vice President of Planning and Business Development for a 320-bed community hospital.
Mr. Britain is Board Certified in health care management and is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. Mr. Britain holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Administration degrees from Georgia State University and completed a year residency in hospital administration. He received his BA in Economics with distinction from the University of Cincinnati.
